Welcoming the ultimate High School Musical super fans, the "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" Pep Rally will get fans pumped up for the film's October 24th opening.
1000 super fans will don their Wildcat red and white and be treated to a Pep Rally and viewing of the sing-a-long versions of "High School Musical" and "High School Musical 2."
Fans will also be the only ones to get a special exclusive sneak peek of never-before-seen footage from "High School Musical 3: Senior Year."
1000 lucky High School Musical super fans selected via call-in opportunities on Radio Disney, KIIS-FM and KABC-TV to show their HSM spirit.

Yes, this is indeed That Zac Efron, the one from Disney's High School Musical films, represented here on Twitch because he's making his "serious" acting debut in Richard Linklater's Me And Orson Welles, soon to debut at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival. Here's the skinny on the latest from the director of Dazed and Confused and School of Rock:
The story of a whirlwind week in 1937 NYC when a young aspiring actor (Efron) is thrown into the middle of Orson Welles' Mercury Theatre Company on the eve of the opening of Welles' historic staging of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. During this week, Richard will find romance with a worldly older woman (Danes), become immersed in a creative experience few are afforded, and learn the downside of crossing the imperious, brilliant Welles (strikingly portrayed by newcomer Christian McKay). Richard is about to grow up FAST.
In anticipation of the premiere of "Me and Orson Welles" at the Toronto International Film Festival, Twitch has released some new images from the film, including the above picture of Zac in character as Richard in frame with Christian McKay as Orson Welles. Yes, this is the High School Musical guy your hormonally charged teenaged daughter - and/or son - would love to stalk with a Sharpie. In Me and Orson Welles, TIFF executive Cameron Bailey has said Efron is making "his debut as a serious actor." In it, he plays an actor who happens to meet a young Orson Welles and his fledgling Mercury Theatre company. Old people Claire Danes and Ben Chaplin also star.

CB: There's "Me and Orson Welles," the new Richard Linklater film that I think definitely is going to be one of the hottest films. And not just because its Richard Linklater... There is this guy named Zac Efron in it as well which people seem to know and then its got this terrific performance by this guy Christian McKay who plays Orson Welles in 1937 as he's mounting a production of "Julius Caesar." So this is a big title obviously and to have films like that premiering with us is really important.

The 20-year-old High School Musical star showed off a bit of his boxers thanks to his low-slung shorts. Zac was sporting a pair of athletic shorts with "DEFENSE" emblazoned across the backside.
Zac's costar Corbin Bleu recently shared about the Oct. 24 feature film release of High School Musical 3: Senior Year: "(Director) Kenny Ortega, when he has a bigger budget, he's going to go for it," Bleu says. "So we have really huge numbers and a lot of different dance genres including cha-cha-cha and breakdancing. We even have a Bob Fosse tribute. Zac and I have a really cool duet called 'The Boys are Back'."

Zac Efron Shows Some New York Love

Zac Efron scopes out a new home in the Hollywood Hills on Monday afternoon. The 20-year-old High School Musical star wore a "New York Love" t-shirt with a "Hot Wheels" sticker on top of it.
Zac also carried around a few black-and-white photos with somebody's autograph on them.
Last night, after the ALMA Awards, Zac took his HSM costar pal Ashley Tisdale for a late night snack at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank, Calif.
UPDATE: Zac was at the former home of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones.

Check out the new teaser trailer for High School Musical 3: Senior Year! There are snippets of interviews by the feature cast: Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman, and Corbin Bleu.
The motion picture soundtrack will be released on October 21. HSM3 is being scheduled for a theatrical release on October 24. Video captures will be soon added to our gallery!

Hey Wildcats, you might hear the third song from High School Musical 3 soon. According to HSM-Extreme, Radio Disney will premiere "Right Here, Right Now" sung by Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens on August 29 at 3:00pm PT/6:00pm ET. Still not sure if this information is official, but we'll keep a look out for it. What do you guys think about Disney premiering all these songs out before the movie is even released in theaters?

Zac and Ashley were on-hand to present the special achivement award to Kenny Ortega for Outstanding Director of a Made for TV Movie. (Kenny Ortega recently direct Zac and Ashley in High School Musical 3.
Zac, 20, is looking to move forward after carving his initial niche in the acting world. "I want people to see that I have grown up and moved on. I know for sure -- and I need a new start," said Zac.
He added, "I'm looking for something new and exciting to do. I want to do something dark, or a comedy. There's tons of icons that I would love to work with on something new and exciting!"

Zac Efron Wants $8m-$10m For High School Musical 4

Zac Efron is reportedly demanding $8m - $10m to star in High School Musical 4.
The actor, 20, is said to have the salary increase in mind, even though HSM3 isn't due in theaters until Oct. 24.
"He's thinking in the $8 million to $10 million range," a source tells Life & Style magazine. "But it depends on how the movie opens and how desperately they want him back."
Efron -- who dates his co-star Vanessa Hudgens -- plays Troy Bolton, the popular student and captain of the basketball team, in the hit Disney show.
High School Musical 2 garnered a whopping 17.3 million viewers the weekend it premiered on the Disney channel. It set a new record, becoming the most watched basic cable program in U.S. history.
Later this year, Efron is scheduled to star in Paramount's musical remake of the film Footloose, which will no doubt raise his profile even higher. He has said that he would like to add his "own little bit of flair" to the role originated by Kevin Bacon.
"Graduation, prom, everybody wants to see the senior year, so it's gonna be really cool," says Ashley Tisdale, who reprises her role as super-snob, super-spoiled Sharpay Evans.
The clip features a first listen at "Right Here Right Now", a love song performed by Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens). We might have the video captures soon.
Zac Efron Co-Star Melora Hardin Says She'd Go After The Teen Idol If She Were 'Seventeen Again'

Melora Hardin were 17 again, she would definitely have a thing for Zac Efron.
The "Office" actress appears with Efron in the movie "Seventeen Again," due next year. In the flick, she plays his school principal, and after working with him, she totally understands what all the hoopla is about: Hardin said he's every bit as attractive as people make him out to be.
"He is a dreamboat. If I were that age and single, I'd be in so much trouble," she said. "I said, 'You'd be exactly my type.' He liked it -- he was like, 'That would be great.' I was of course teasing but of course not teasing."
In addition to his physical attributes, Hardin notes that Efron is a very sweet guy. "He's just a lovely, lovely person," she said. "He's so nice and grounded and sweet as can be. He's the real deal. He's a teen idol."
