Me and Orson Welles debuts on Friday, Sept. 5 at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). In the drama, High School Musical hero Zac Efron may have retired his Wildcats jersey, but not his penchant for puppy love.
"He's falling for this older woman," director Richard Linklater says of Zac's character. "She's taking him for a bit of a ride." She being Claire Danes, Zac's object of affection in the film. She's a perky production assistant and Efron's an up-and-coming actor working on Welles' famed 1937 staging of Julius Caesar.
Zac plays a high school student in the 1930's who stumbles across the Mercury Theatre and his acting potential is soon realized by the theatre's founder Orson Welles. Claire plays a perky production assistant¨Csome pictures of her on the set of Orson can be found here.

Hey guys, get your calendars ready for the coming up schedules of Zanessa! Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens will be presenting in MTV's Video Music Awards on September 7!
As the MTV Video Music Awards approach, the line up just keeps getting hotter. Panic at the Disco, Chris Brown, Katy Perry and Tokio Hotel have been added as presenters. Best New Artist nominees Jordin Sparks and Taylor Swift will be on stage to hand out trophies, as well as High School Musical hotties Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. Lupe Fiasco and Flo Rida will bring some sass to the stage, while Dainty Kane will make the winners forget their acceptance speeches when they present awards in their dainty duds. The couple take dolls ("action figures" as Zac likes to call them) of themselves and talk in funny voices. Zac even takes a big bite out of the Vanessa doll head! Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale (in Sass & Bide) keep it cute at Disney's High School Musical 3: Senior Year Ultimate Fan Pep Rally at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday.
Zac's on-screen and off-screen girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens could not make this event, but will undoubtedly be present as the HSM3 promotional tour continues to roll on.
The pair also took photos with director Kenny Ortega and producer Barry Rosenbush. Also pictured in the gallery are: Olesya Rulin, Kaycee Stroh, Ryne Sanborn and Chris Warren Jr.!
