For second straight weekend, 'High School Musical 3' displays dominance at the box office and bests over horror movies, 'Saw V' and 'The Haunting of Molly Hartley' during the Halloween weekend.
Securing its #1 position for the second weekend consecutively, "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" remains unbeatable at the box office during the Halloween weekend. Hauling in an estimated $15 million, the big screen sequel to the "High School Musical" franchise has raised the total of about $61.8 million after 10 days screening on multiple theaters across North America.
Though ending the weekend on the top slot, the Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens-starring musical has slipped to the fifth place on Friday, October 31 with $1.7 million. Still, it rebounded back on Saturday, November 1, collecting $8.2 million. Disney's High School Musical 3 is my favorite movie of all time. I really, really couldn't wait to see High School Musical 3. Seeing all of the promotions and some parts of the movie on TV has made me want to see the Disney movie even more. The Director of the movie is Kenny Ortega. I got a chance to go to the HSM 3 World Premiere at USC Galen Center in Los Angeles, CA on October 16, 2008. My brother won from Disney.com to go to the premiere. It was so much fun. Compared to HSM 1, and HSM 2, HSM 3 has a lot of energetic songs and dances. It was like an all new musical adventure and fun. Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) the two seniors are facing the outlook of being of being separated from one another as they head off to college. When asked what the most standout moment from the entire HSM experience was, Zac told CosmoGirl, "I think that one of the moments that we all look back on as pretty amazing was in the first movie, when we filmed 'We're All in This Together'. We were all in our elements in that moment. It was the time of our lives and that was the beginning of it all. Another standout moment for the whole cast -- I know it was for me -- was the finale of the third movie, the very last thing we shot. It was very surreal to look at how far we had come."

Footloose Remake

Zac Efron will be playing Ren McCormack, in Footloose originally played by Kevin Bacon. Zac Efron will once again be working with Kenny Ortega. Earlier this month, Kevin Bacon now 50, gave Zac his blessing to play the role. Bacon thought that this is a great idea and that having Zac Efron playing Ren McCormack was a great choice, and that he is also talented.
Also there were rumours earlier this month that Zac Efron agreed a £6 million deal to be in the fourth Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean, with Johnny Depp, also that the deal tied him to HSM4, which he had said no to before. In the original Footloose,a teenage Ren and his family move away from Chicago and move to a small town in the west, where dancing and rock music is illegal. Last of all its also known that the movie will have numerous of new songs as well as the old classics.

Zac Efron makes an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which airs on Thursday, and jokingly admits this his hair is based on Ellen DeGeneres’s season 2 hair.
When Ellen whips out a electric razor, she offers to cut Zac’s hair.
“You wanna take a little off the back?” Zac offered. “It’s a little long.”"
Ellen even asked Zac’s mom, who was sitting in the audience, if it was okay to cut his hair. Zac’s mom, Starla, even told Ellen “Go for it!”. Watch the vid below –

Zac Efron and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens catch a departing flight from LAX airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The couple is flying off to Mexico for tomorrow’s premiere of High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Zanessa took separate limos to the airport but arrived just minutes apart.
Earlier this morning, Zac, 21, was seen dropping Vanessa, 19, off at her parent’s home. You can see mommy Gina in the pictures below! (Van wore gray “Xenia” boots and toted around her fave “Morgan” satchel, both by Botkier.)
