Remember When: Zac Efron Was Just Starting Out?
-Posted by: Bing
Zac Efron has become one of the biggest hearthrobs in the world, due to his roles in the High School Musical franchise and, admit it, by being incredibly handsome!
Where did this grounded, hunky actor get his start in showbiz? In the beginning of this decade, the 21-year-old began appearing on random TV shows, like ER, CSI: Miami, and The Replacements. Then, in 2004, he was cast in two films, the Lifetime original movie Miracle Run and the feature film The Derby Stallion.
Casting agents were blown away by Zac's irresistible on-stage appeal, and the rest is history. Now that his obligations to HSM are wrapping up, next up is the highly anticipated movie 17 Again, in which he will be transformed back into his 17-year old self.
That's not all! Zac recently filmed the movie Me and Orson Welles, based on the novel of the same title. The film, which will be released this coming year, follows a man cast as the lead in Orson Welles' play Julius Caeser. Hand it to Zac to make Shakespeare sexy again!
Let's just say that this guy is going nowhere but up! Woo hoo!

Zac Efron gets charitable with the children
-Posted by: Lauren
Doing his part to help bring a little cheer this holiday season, Zac Efron paid a visit to the Mattel Children’s Hospital on the UCLA campus on Friday (December 19).
Teaming up with Gifts.com, the “High School Musical” heartthrob happily presented gifts, signed autographs and posed alongside his giddy fans as he made his hospital rounds to the facility’s patients.
And though he happened to be at UCLA this particular day, the 21-year-old Efron had at one time planned to attend rival school USC.
“I was accepted to the film program, but I deferred,” Zac recently told press.
And though his post-secondary plans were derailed by the success of “High School Musical,” Zac still sees himself hitting the books someday.
Zac Efron was one of many young celebrities featured on tonight's E! True Hollywood Story: From A to Zac.
The 21-year-old High School Musical hunk's career was highlighted as well as his relationship relationship with girlfriend and co-star Vanessa Hudgens.
Zac's former Summerland co-star Lori Loughlin had this to say about the couple: "The fact that he and Vanessa have been together for so long speaks to who he is also as a person. He tends to be that one woman guy and just focus on that; again not a player, not somebody's who's taking advantage of this new found fame or I'm sure the many girls that are throwing themselves at him. He seems to very level headed about the whole thing."

Zac & Vanessa are Lakers Lovin'
-Posted by: Lauren
Back out side-by-side, Disney co-star lovers Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were spotted taking in a Lakers game at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (December 16).
The couple doted on one another throughout an intense game which saw the Lakers beat the visiting NY Knicks 116-114, afterwards making their way to the car, with Vanessa giggling as fans barraged the two with autograph requests.
Meanwhile, it appears as if Zac got a little advice from "Titanic" hunk Leonardo DiCaprio during a previous visit to a Lakers game.
Of sitting next to the "High School Musical" star courtside, DiCaprio told E!, "I went with my friend Kevin [Connolly] and [Zac] happened to sit next to me¡ªwe briefly chatted."
His advice to the rising star? "The flashbulbs, the interviews, all that stuff won't amount to anything unless you create a body of work that people want to see," Leo tells.
Celebrating what was yet another successful year, Vanessa Hudgens enjoyed a oh-so-sweet 20th birthday thanks to boyfriend Zac Efron on Sunday afternoon (December 14).
According to a paparazzi eyewitness, Efron arrived at the Disney starlet's abode with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a large gift under his arm while smiling giddily when Vanessa opened the door.
From there, Efron reportedly drove his lovely lady to Los Angeles eatery Stanley's, where the two walked inside arm-in-arm before being seated.
After staying at Stanley's for about two hours, the Disney co-star couple snuck out the back door, returning to Hudgens' home to continue the birthday celebration in private!

Zac Efron On Drugs? Say It Ain't So!
-Posted by: Bing
It ain't so. But if Zac Efron signs on for the much-talked about sequel to the 2007 movie musical Hairspray, his character Link Larkin would!
Producer Marc Shaiman tells MTV that the sequel would be a true John Waters-type film. But what about the plot? He shares, "People hate Tracy (Nikki Blonsky) because she doesn't lose weight. They ask 'Now that you're famous, why won't you lose weight?'. And Link (Efron) experiments with drugs. Throughout half the movie, he has an ongoing dialogue with three pimples on his forehead. Edna (John Travolta) loses weight, but sees her husband (Christopher Walken) lusting after fat women. And so, she finally breaks down and runs over to a snack table. Just within one number, she gets fat again; gaining 20 pounds at a time. [Her fat] pops out, and by the end of the song she's completely at her old weight again."
We’ve been hearing rumblings of a “Hairspray” sequel for months. Just last week, director Adam Shankman confirmed that John Waters himself was writing an outline that would take Zac Efron, Queen Latifah and the rest into the late Sixties. Now, MTV has the scoop on all the insanity that could only come from the twisted “Pink Flamingos” mastermind. ... Read More ...
