In two new movies, the High School Musical star majors in seduction?!
On sitting next to Leonardo DiCaprio at a Lakers game: "We talked the whole game, and he was just everything I thought he would be: smart, levelheaded, charming, hilarious. You know, the older-brother vibe. That sounds so cheesy."
On choosing his roles: "I'm going to make as many light hearted movies as I can. Every time we started a new High School Musical movie, I wanted to keep that kid inside of me alive."
On the photos taken of him and girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, in what appears to be a sex-toy shop and the Christmas present he received from his mother after the rumors hit: "My mom is like, 'Zac, what did you buy in a sex shop?' I was like, 'Mom, calm down, it's not a sex shop.' She wouldn't have any of it. She's like 'I knew you were being sexual!' But she understood. My stocking was full of condoms this Christmas. She buys me the economy box."

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Zac Efron may still be a tween dream thanks to his trio of “High School Musical” movies. But his mom is very aware that the 21-year-old is an adult.
The photos that surfaced last year of Efron and his girlfriend, “HSM” cutie Vanessa Hudgens, in what appeared to be a sex shop, were just one of the things that raised his mom Starla’s eyebrows.
“It was Hallows Eve like, two years ago. It was just a costume store,” Zac clarified to the April issue of ELLE magazine of the location of the snaps. “In the back they have an adult section for adult costumes. And this nice older woman asked for a photo.”

Zac Efron isn’t amused by co-star Thomas Lennon in this new still from his upcoming flick, 17 Again.
The 21-year-old actor and Tom recently shot a promo spot for Comedy Central. Writer Kyle Leonard writes on his Flickr account, “Awesome day shooting. Zac was cool. Tom was awesome. He’s one of the funniest people on TV, and one of my favorite comedy writers.”
Zac stars as the young version of Mike O’Donnell, a guy whose life didn’t quite turn out how he wanted it to and wishes he could go back to high school and change it. He will premiere 17 Again in Sydney, Australia on March 11th.

Zac Efron and manager pal Jason excitedly get into the L.A. Lakers basketball game , sitting courtside at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (March 3).
The 21-year-old actor met up with actor David Arquette during the game. The L.A. Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies with the final score at 99-89.

Zac Efron hides his hair behind his fave gray beanie as he stops to gas up his Audi at a local gas station in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon (March 3).
The 21-year-old Hairspray hunk was seen sipping on POM Wonderful’s mango juice and also had lunch with a friend at a West Hollywood deli.
Zac will be appearing on popular Australian talk show Rove along with comedian Russell Brand on March 15th. The Sydney premiere for Zac’s flick, 17 Again, will be held at Hoyts in the Entertainment Quarter on March 11th.

Mitch Neuhauser, ShoWest managing director, said that the 21-year-old was an easy choice this year (09) as he prepares to take on the big-screen after the success of the musical franchise with new comedy '17 Again'.

High School Musical star Zac Efron has reportedly proposed to his co-star Vanessa Hudgens to please her mother. Efron, 21, and Hudgens, 20, have been dating for three years, and now he has asked her to marry him because her mom Gina Hudgens doesn't approve of the couple living together out of wedlock, reports the China Daily.
"Zac is relieved to be out of the pressure cooker, because Vanessa's mother has been putting serious heat on him to make an honest woman out of her daughter. She is old-school and doesn't approve of Vanessa living with Zac without some type of wedding promise," a source said.
The actor is believed to have popped the question, while they holidayed in Japan in January. The two have been spending time together at Hudgens' six-bedroom Tuscan style mansion in Studio City, California, despite Efron himself owning a 2.3 million dollars, two-bedroom house in the Hollywood Hills.
"Zac loves the current arrangement. He adores Vanessa and they gel really well together. Gina already considers Zac a part of the family. So she's happy that he proposed," the source told National Enquirer magazine.

Ever wonder what 17 Again hunk Zac Efron was like in high school? The 21-year-old actor recently dished to Family Circle magazine about getting in trouble, being the class clown and brawling with his younger brother, Dylan. Check it:
On his high-school days: "I was average. I had a lot of friends, but I was not in that ultracool circle. I was a bit of a class clown -- I guess to get through the tedium of the quadratic formula! I thought everyone was fair game."
On what he loves about his parents, Starla and David: "I've always appreciated my mom's ability to listen to me. Even today I can vent my frustration or share my happiness because she made it clear long ago that she wanted to hear what I had to say.
