The couple met when they starred alongside each other in the High School Musical film franchise, and couldn't be happier.
They love nothing more than spending time together, and although Zac's friends are always trying to get him to party with them, he prefers to have romantic nights in with his girlfriend.
"He says he's honoured to be with her," one of Zac's friends revealed. "He thinks she's just amazing. They're like an old married couple."
Zac, 22, and 21-year-old Vanessa have repeatedly denied claims they are planning to tie the knot, although Vanessa has been heard discussing her dream engagement ring with pals.
Zac has reportedly told pals he is coming round to the idea of marriage, and would love to have the ceremony on the beach in Malibu. "Zac says when he looks at his life, there's no way he can envision it without Vanessa," a source explained.

Efron, Warners bidding war for Swedish thriller

Get ready for Zac Efron, the coke smuggler.
Efron is attached to star in and produce a remake of “Snabba Cash,” the hot Swedish property that was the subject of a heavy Hollywood bidding war and has just found a home with Warner Bros.
Warners bought the remake rights for Efron to produce via the new Warners-based shingle he runs with manager Jason Barrett.
Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven and Richard Suckle are producing, along with original producer Fredrik Wikstrom. Michael Hjorth will exec produce.
“Snabba” is based on a novel by Jens Lapidus and was a major hit in its home country. The thriller followed three interconnected storylines involving drugs and organized crime, with the main character a young man (played in the original by half-American Joel Kinnaman, poised for an international break-out) who hopes to strike it rich quickly by becoming a runner for a coke dealer.
Many producers and companies were vying for remake rights to the movie, whose buzz began at the Berlin Film Festival. UTA threw a reception for the movie’s filmmaker Daniel Espinosa at the Hammer Museum in late March night and screened his movie.
From then, offers started to pour in like easy money (which is what "snabba cash" means in Swedish) from Universal, Summit, Paramount, Fox, the Weinstein Company, Mandate and Warners.
The deal, in the high six figures, has a progress to production, or “short fuse” clause, which means that if Warners sits on it for too long, the rights revert back to the producers.
Jon Berg is overseeing for Warners.
For Efron, repped by CAA and Alchemy Entertainment, “Snabba” represents the latest opportunity for the young actor to grow beyond the teen roles that made him a star.

Khloé Kardashian Odom and Zac Efron, who were spotted picking up a free gift just because, well, they're more fabulous than we are! So what did the notorious Lakers fans get with playoffs right around the corner?
Zac and Khloé are the first to get their hands on a pair of the limited edition Skullcandy NBA Mix Master headphones, how very Sarah Palin of them!
Let's hope each babe picked up an extra pair for their respective significant others. Especially Zac, who's supposedly more in love than ever with GF Vanessa Hudgens. Cute and all, but we just don't think these babes will last, or are we missing something here?

Anna Ruter talks about meeting Zac

Anna Ruter remembers a moment when she could not breathe in late August a couple years ago.
Her cheeks turned red and the butterflies in her stomach fluttered faster than a heartbeat. The Mount Pleasant 12-year-old was suffering from the case of a serious crush when she met High School Musical actor Zac Efron in Los Angeles.
“I was shaking inside when I saw him near the table,” Ruter said. “He has blue eyes, he has freckles and he is funny.”
The only difference between Ruter and other adoring Efron fans is she met him through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants fatally ill children their wishes.
At eight days old, Anna was diagnosed with maple syrup urine disease, an inherited, rare metabolic condition stemming from a body’s inability to break down certain protein types. The disease, also called branched-chain ketoaciduria, is known for giving bodily fluids the smell of maple syrup.
“Her body does not make an enzyme that breaks down the three amino acids and those are components of protein,” said Anna’s mother Paula Ruter, the wife of university events employee Lance Ruter.
Paula Ruter said Anna has always had to follow a restrictive diet of with no meats, dairy, chocolate or soy. “It is a hard life,” Anna said.

As confirmed on the movie’s Facebook Fan Page today, the Me and Orson Welles DVD will be released on April 19th 2010 in the UK. It will be available to buy exclusively in Tesco stores and you can pre-order the DVD on their Website now.
Amazon.ca is currently says that the release date for Canada will be May 11th but we’ll keep you updated when we get confirmation of a US/Canadian release!
