According to Deadline Hollywood, a few of Universal’s upcoming releases have been revised and Charlie St. Cloud is one of them:
“CHARLIE ST. CLOUD, starring Zac Efron, will be released on October 15th.”
"In the Burr Steers (17 Again) directed drama, Zac portrays a grief-stricken older brother (Charlie) overcome by the loss of his younger sibling (Sam, played by Charlie Tahan) and forced to make a choice between keeping a promise or finding love.”

New Movie for Zac?

According to THR News, Zac Efron will be starring and exec-producing in a new spy thriller called Fire.
Universal is on “Fire.” The studio has picked up the rights to the graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis. Zac Efron is attached to star and will exec produce with his manager, Jason Barrett. Neal Moritz is producing with David Engel of Circle of Confusion, the company that reps Bendis. Written and drawn by Bendis before he went on to become one of Marvel Comics’ top writers, the story centers on a college student who is inducted into a special CIA project that tests whether training ordinary citizens to be agents can be successful. Bendis is also on board to write the adaptation.
The plot is as follows: The story, a spy thriller, is centered on a young Jewish-American man named Benjamin "Ben" Furst, who is initially introduced as a college student studying political science. After passing several tests, including a fake mugging, he is recruited by a beautiful young woman named D. D. into the Central Intelligence Agency and told that he is going to be the first agent of Project Fire (hence the title of the comic), an experiment to test whether training agents out of ordinary citizens can be successful. Ben passes and becomes an agent under the command of Linda Dagger. He is placed in England to pose as a journalist named Jake Donaldson, and he is dispatched from time-to-time to set up assassinations in places around the world ranging from Japan to Brazil. He gradually becomes disillusioned with his lifestyle and job, and he begins to suspect that he is being set-up himself.

Zac Efron Eyes 'The Hangover' Role

ZAC EFRON is eyeing a move into comedy - the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL star would love a role in THE HANGOVER sequel. The actor moved away from his Disney roots with 2009 drama Me and Orson Welles, and this year (10) sees the release of his fantasy film The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. But the 22 year old wants his next role to be more light-hearted. He tells Access Hollywood, "(A role in The Hangover sequel) would be amazing. I think that they're amazing and I love the cast that they've got going on." Writer/director Todd Phillips is busy working on a follow-up to the comedy smash, set to start filming later this year - and actor Ed Helms admits Efron would be a welcome addition to the cast: "I love that guy. He's actually really funny."

Zac sigs onto Hope for Haiti Telethon

Mega-celebs who will present and/or help in the phone banks are Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Zac Efron, Bradley Cooper, Renée Zellweger, Chris Pine, Courteney Cox, Colin Farrell, among many others.
The Hope For Haiti Telethon, which will air on all major television networks in the US (check local listings for scheduling information), will be hosted by George Clooney and it aims to raise as much money as possible to support the victims of the Haiti Earthquake. The two hour event will take place at the Beverly Hilton on Friday January 22nd.
Zac presented at the 15th Annual Critics Choice Awards on January 15th, 2010 with Zoe Saldana for best song. I'm still trying to find a video of them presenting but for now, check out the pictures below.

Zac will be presenting at the 15th Annual Critics Choice Awards alongside other presenters including Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish (from Sucker Punch) and house band Nick Jonas and The Administration. The awards will be broadcast live on VH1 on Friday January 15th at 9pm (the Red Carpet pre- show will air from 8.30pm). More information on the nominees and the award ceremony itself can be found HERE.
Viewers can visit CriticsChoice.VH1.com before and during the ceremony where you can talk about the show with other fans. There will also be an alternative feed of the show that will provide an insider’s look at the star-studded event.
